British Airways Strike in March 2010

British Airways Strike

The trade union of British Airways (BA) cabin crew has announced its intention to strike in March. This planned strike may affect our students travelling to and from the UK. Students who intend to fly to and from the UK may need to alter their travel arrangements.

A small number of flights for our UK students have already been cancelled, but all affected students have been notified and re-booked onto alternative flights with suitable transfer arrangements. If you have any concerns about your flight or wish to move your start dates, please contact your student advisor at Language International.

BA’s proposed strike dates are Sat 20, Sun 21, Mon 22, Sat 27, Sun 28, Mon 29, & Tue 30 March 2010.  BA expect to run some flights, but cancel or alter others. This situation may change, but British Airways have now suspended sales of affected flights for those days.

The latest information can be found on British Airways’ website.  This web page also has the latest details about the expected British Airways flight schedule during this period and methods for altering or cancelling tickets.

If you have booked a course with us and are affected by this British Airways strike, we ask that you inform us of any flight changes as soon as possible. While we will do everything we can to assist our students, any extra costs will be charged according to our terms and conditions, and it is particularly important that all students have adequate travel insurance to compensate for these delays and cancellations.
