This week’s feature: English classes in London

This week, we are featuring English courses in London. London is branded as one of Europe’s most vibrant cities, making it very popular to take English classes in London. Indeed, there is nothing that can compare with the majesty of the Changing of the Guard outside Buckingham Palace, or the energy that you feel when you’re in Piccadilly Circus and Covent Garden. After your English classes end in the afternoon, you’ll see a lot of foreigners practice their English language skills in the fashionable boutiques of Chelsea or buying a theatre ticket in the West End. Then, as the night sets, you’ll find foreigners mingling with locals in the hot spots of Soho, or drinking a beer at a traditional English pub in London.

The English language spoken in London is known as the “King’s English”. Indeed, Londoners take their English very seriously, and taking English classes in London will provide you with an opportunity to learn the language in the country where it all began. The pronunciation is very distinct, and if you acquire the British accent while studying in London, you will gain appreciation for the difference between studying in the UK and studying in USA. You may even pick up a few British slangs, learn how to say “Cheerio” when saying goodbye to a friend, or understand the various uses of the word “Bloody!”

Language Courses Abroad

We launched Language International in January 2009, with the goal of bridging cultures around the world through language learning. For those of you who have not heard of Language International, we are an online language travel company that helps students find and compare language courses abroad.

As the founder of Language International, I hope to make the world a much smaller place by facilitating global mobility and cultural exchange through language travel. Having learned six languages while growing up and having traveled to over 100 cities, I am eager to share my passion for languages and travel with the world.

Today, we’re launching our corporate blog. We’ll update our blog regularly, with different people posting about new language travel destinations or sharing what’s been happening with us here. Your feedback is important to us, so feel free to share your two cents on how we can make our site and this blog more useful to you. We’re excited to hear from you and to make Language International better for you!
