F+U Academy of Languages in Heidelberg is one of the largest language schools in Germany. More than 12,000 students from over more than 100 countries attend the language courses and exams at the school in Heidelberg. In the field of German as a foreign language F+U Academy of Languages is one of the leading providers of German courses, whether in the form of intensive courses in the mornings and afternoons or extra-occupational evening courses.
In 2016 and 2017, F+U Academy of Languages was awarded the StudyTravel Star Award as the ST Star German Language School as well as the iStudy Award als World Language School of the Year – Germany.
Thanks to its internationality, the school offers a unique opportunity to get to know people and their various languages and cultures, and to practice freshly acquired language skills, whether during break-time conversations in the corridors or in the school’s atrium, or while participating in the cultural and sporting activities offered everyday.

Apart from the year-round intensive and evening courses, F+U Academy of Languages also offers individual and compact courses, educational leave, corporate language training and specialist language training for German, English and over 25 other languages.
Children and teenagers from all over the world take part in German or English courses in our international junior programme every summer to gain language proficiency through playful learning and a multi-layered cultural, sport and free-time activities programme in one of the most beautiful cities in Germany.
Several halls of residence with more than 500 rooms, a boarding school, apartments, a school-owned hotel and several host families offer a fantastic range of year-round accommodation to learners arriving from all over the world.
As an international test centre, the Academy of Languages stands for exceptional quality in language teaching. Alongside the best-known assessments such as TOEFL® and TestDaF, the language institute offers the following examinations: TELC, WiDaF, onSET, TestAS, TOEIC®, LCCI and ECDL (European Computer Driving License)
A particularly important part of the academy is our Vocational College for Foreign Languages, founded in 2004, which offers the opportunity to study full time towards the following state recognized qualifications: Foreign Language Correspondence Clerk, European Secretary, Multilingual Correspondence Clerk and Translator. F+U Academy of Languages is one of the few education providers in the country to offer state-recognized vocational language training for Japanese. Recognized status has also been awarded for Chinese, English, French, Spanish and Russian.
F+U Academy of Languages offers internship programmes within the framework of Erasmus+. This EU programme gives young people the chance to participate in a language course abroad in either another European country or in Heidelberg, and then complete a commercial internship. F+U Academy of Languages rounds off its range of courses with the organization of language tours and the pathway college International Prep School (preparation for the Feststellungsprüfung).
