If you want to learn German in a picturesque old setting with all the charm of medieval Germany and all the convenience of modern life, look no further – a German school in Heidelberg is just what you're looking for. In this richly romantic setting, which has been inhabited for 1500 years and where there's evidence of people living since 1000 years before that, you'll never tire of quickly learning German just so you can find out more about your surroundings. There are many museums to visit, but you don't even need to go to them to feel the pull of the past and to find yourself educated almost unconsciously at every turn of the road. With its endlessly fascinating castle, its gorgeous ancient bridge, its stunning views of rivers and mountains, and the unforgettable architecture that surrounds you as you walk down the streets to have a coffee once classes are over, Heidelberg is an experience you'll always recall. It's more than just a place to visit and learn – it's an entire change of mindset. With festivals throughout the year, including an Easter egg market, the Old Town Autumn festival with its medieval market, flea market, and wide variety of music, the jazz festival, the film festival, the Christmas market, there's always something exciting to go to where you can practice your German in real situations. And don't miss Fasching, the equivalent to Carnival, with its annual Vampire Ball. German courses in Heidelberg won't just teach you a language – they'll give you an entire culture.
