Course description

Combine English lessons with lots of fun and adventure! Cape Town is an amazing city and our centre is the perfect base to discover the unique wildlife and culture of Africa while learning English. We make sure students get a rounded learning experience and a holiday to remember.

Our all-inclusive Vacation English Plus package is available for students aged 13-17! The package runs Sunday to Sunday within the dates stated above. Minimum stay is 1 week.

Study at our beautiful, state-of-the-art school, equipped for teaching in the technological age while living in one of our two residences a short walk away. Ideally located in the popular Sea Point suburb, our location offers the opportunity to live and study in a cosmopolitan area where people work, live and play - ideal for a rewarding learning experience.

Our Sea Point Student Residence is about 17 minutes' walk from our school, and offers dormitories, twin and single rooms, with the option of ensuite bathrooms, along with a garden and barbeque area, swimming pool, communal kitchen and dining area.

Our more upmarket Milton Road Student House is located right next door to the school, and offers single and twin accommodation in a more intimate atmosphere, with an outdoor area and barbecue, communal kitchen and dining area.

Our teachers are native English speakers from Cape Town and South Africa, and part of our methodology is to teach English inside and outside the classroom - experiencing English in Real Life, along with meaningful learning activities.

We also offer a booking service for activities and excursions on offer in the city and region, using only registered and accredited tour operators.

"Excellent experience"

In one sentence, it was an excellent experience. The school is very well organized, in terms of class arrangement and the teacher's qualification.

The location, facilities are perfect. They should have more activities in order for students to have more contact with English in real life.

About housing, It should have more diversity of food. The lunch is not that good and a bit expensive for students.

LAL Cape Town is proud to offer superior home-from-home accommodation less than one minute on foot from our school, close to beaches, main attractions and restaurants, and with easy access to Cape Town's excellent public transport system.

These twin rooms have an ensuite shower, WC and basin. Clean bed linen is provided once a week. Bedrooms are cleaned three days per week. Communal areas are cleaned daily, towels changed twice a week and there is a free wireless network throughout the residence.

Breakfast is always included and a shared kitchen and barbecue facilities are available.

There is 24-hour staff presence on site, and security cameras. Students are issued with a key to their room on arrival. Lost keys charged at ZAR50. Lock changes charged at ZAR350. Damaged towels are ZAR150 per towel.

Check-in after 14.00. Check-out before 10.00. Other times by arrangement.

Visa support

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged 120 € when you register.

Flights and airport transfer

Please note that we do not book flights for our students. If you are researching airfare costs, we recommend using Kayak.com, a search engine that lets you compare flight options from your home country to Cape Town based on your budget, schedule and preferences.

Travel insurance

Study abroad worry-free with Language International's health and personal effects insurance coverage. When you book a course with us, you can opt to purchase an international insurance plan that covers not only your health care cost but also loss of your personal belongings. You must book your insurance in advance when you register.
