Texas Intensive English Program

The mission of the Texas Intensive English Program (TIEP) is to provide exemplary English language training and student services to individuals whose native language is not English. Since 1965, TIEP has helped more than 30,000 students and professionals from 130 countries to achieve their goals. The program accepts individuals who are 17 years of age or older (except for customized group programs). TOEFL is not required for admission.

TIEP is authorized under federal law to issue Form I-20 to non-immigrants seeking a student (F-1) visa.

The Texas Intensive English Program (TIEP), established in 1965, is known internationally for its excellent English language courses and reasonable cost. TIEP has helped more than 30,000 students and professionals from 127 countries to achieve their goals. The program is designed for individuals preparing to enter a college or university in the United States, as well as for those who study English for professional or personal enrichment. TIEP offers year-round classes for academic preparation, business English, and general communication and culture. Special programming is available for individuals or groups sponsored by governments, corporations, and other organizations. These customized programs include Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Language and Culture Programs, and Executive English.
