International House: Hollywood-LA

IH Hollywood – L.A. is the newest member of the IH Net Pacific Group with schools in Canada and the US. Opening in 2014, IH Hollywood – L.A. will offer English language courses to adults from all over the world and a residential Junior Program at Fullerton State University in Orange County.

With lots of expertise and know-how in the field of language education, IH Hollywood – L.A. offers high-quality language courses and a wide range of activities and other services to give our students the best language learning experience. By using a communicative, student-centered approach, IH Hollywood provides its students with a stimulating classroom environment. General English classes focus on integrating the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing with pronunciation, grammar, and lexical components. The overall emphasis is on building confidence and improving fluency.

- Small class sizes (max. 10/class outside of summer;15/class in July/August)
- Offered year-round
- The minimum age for adult programs: 16

• Semi-Intensive 15 lessons per week (12.5 hours per week)
The Semi-Intensive Program allows students to take Core classes in the morning.
Periods B, C & D

• Intensive 20 lessons per week (16.66 hours per week)
The Intensive Program is the most popular program as it allows students to take both Core and Communication Skills classes in the morning.
Periods A, B, C & D

• Intensive Plus 30 lessons per week (25 hours per week)
(Only offered to U.S. residents or individuals on non-immigrant visas that allow full-time study)
Students enrolled in this program may take a combination of Communication Skills, Core & Elective classes.
