In addition to the Gothic, three-winged main building, the gorgeous Castle premises comprise a modern school building and the students' residences.

Heessen Castle is situated on the Lippe river on the outskirts of the town of Hamm. Heessen is a district of the town Hamm in North-Rhine Westphalia, in the Ruhr metropolitan region. The former mining town Hamm is nowadays known for its varied cultural offers and many public green spaces, among them Maximilian Park with its glass elephant, one of the major landmarks of the city.
The spacious school premises of Heessen Castle combine tradition and modern comfort and offer our young guests not only a great variety of leisure time opportunities but also a school canteen which is certified by the German Nutrition Society. The surroundings of the former manor house feature lush green meadows, creeks lined with trees as well as a small island on the Lippe river. In addition to the Gothic, three-winged main building, the campus comprises a modern school building and the students' quarters.
Our students are accommodated on campus in twin, triple or quadruple bedrooms with shared facilities. 3 main meals and 2 snacks are provided in the school canteen which has been certified by the German Nutrition Society.
Besides several interesting activities in the vicinity, there are many attractive destinations in the region for our Saturday excursions, among them the metropolis Cologne, with the world-famous cathedral “Kölner Dom” and one of the children’s all-time favorites, the chocolate museum. Lake Moehne with its impressive dam and opportunities for water sports and a visit to the cycle city Muenster with its all-weather zoo give further opportunities for varied experiences during our students' stay.
Student residences are more suitable for an independent student, who is looking for clean, basic accommodation at an economic price. All students must be 9 - 13. Your housing starts on the Sunday before your first day of class and ends on the Saturday after your last day of class, unless otherwise noted. Learn more about student residence accommodation
We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged 125 € when you register.
