CEVAZ, known today as the Center, has evolved over the years to be a renowned institution aimed at teaching the English language as well as a comprehensive cultural center, committed to overall excellence in cultural exchange. During this time, it has been reinvented through the design of new programs and activities to meet the academic and cultural needs of the entire community of Zulia. There are many changes and improvements since its founding in 1973, both to the internal and external structure of CEVAZ. These changes have been carried out in the course of time to adapt to the changing institution and demands of customers. Some of the renovations include the construction of new classrooms, academic and administrative offices, among others, as a solution to organizational growth, due to increased demand for educational and cultural services in the region. In May 2007, CEVAZ reopened a modern welcome reception hall. The renovated space includes the addition of air conditioning, accompanied by finishes in wood and metal, and integrating technology to provide constant information about the activities and services of the center through a circuit of high-resolution monitors located around this new area. CEVAZ has become the benchmark for excellence in training English and Spanish in the region.
