The Centro Toscano di Lingue e Cultura believes that the study of language enhances communication, understanding, and knowledge and that language and culture are inseparable. We are dedicated to the concept of intercultural exchange through language with the intention to provide deeper cultural understanding and awareness through our language teaching. Therefore, we are committed to offering a range of services that encompass our vision. We believe that language teaching and learning and cultural understanding go beyond the textbook and the classroom, and we seek to provide authentic experiences that will impact individuals as students, future teachers, and world citizens. Our goal is to instill a capacity for cultural sensitivity that transcends individuals' experiences at The Learning Center of Tuscany. Our hope is that this will become and remain fundamental in many aspects of their lives, including career, relationships, travel, and understanding of their individual role in a global society.
The nationality and age mix at Centro Toscano di Lingue e Cultura varies over different time periods, courses and levels. Throughout the year, the average age is 25. In the summer, the average age is 23.

Our school is a five to ten-minute walk from the main train station in Florence, Santa Maria Novella and just around the corner from Florence Cascine Park.
The train station is located in the historical center of the city and is only a 5-minute walk to the Duomo or the Ponte Vecchio, the famous bridge that has remained functional since the Middle Ages.
From the station, S.M.N., you can take the tram via to the stop "Porta al Prato" and we are just across the street next to Bar Belfiore. Tickets can be bought there as well for one euro 20 cents.
We are on the 3rd floor of the building.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
Homestays are carefully selected and offer students the opportunity to learn more about the local culture in a comfortable setting while studying Italian in Florence. These homes are often between 3 - 15 minutes away from the school by public transport. Families usually offer affordable meal plans that allow you to sample the local cuisine. If you have special requests or diet restrictions (because of religion or health reasons), please let us know in advance. Your housing starts on the Sunday before your first day of class and ends on the Saturday after your last day of class, unless otherwise noted. Learn more about homestay housing
It is possible to live in a rented apartment during your study in Florence, but this tends to be more expensive. TLC provides some assistance with apartment rentals or you can rent an apartment on your own. Learn more about apartment housing
