"A pleasant atmosphere at school"

Maurice Kommnick, student from Germany

I really enjoyed the classes, as well as the first day with the welcome session and the test. My teacher, Nicola, did a great job. For me personally, it was a little strange, since at 53 I seemed to be by far the oldest student there, but of course that’s not the school’s fault.

"I had a great experience at Castle School of English, and I would definitely recommend the school to anyone who wants to improve their English and have a positive learning experience."

Deniz CÖMERTPAY, student from Turkey

I was really satisfied with the English education at Castle School of English. I feel that my English skills improved a lot during my time in Brighton, especially my speaking and communication skills.

The classes had a good number of students, and all the teachers were very supportive, understanding, and helpful. I really enjoyed the lessons and felt comfortable asking questions whenever I needed help.

The school location was also great. It was in the centre of Brighton, so it was very close to the bus station, shops, restaurants, and other central places. This made it very convenient to get around and explore the city.

I also really enjoyed the activities organized by the school. Every week, they arranged different activities for students, which gave us the opportunity to meet other people, make friends, and enjoy Brighton together. I especially liked having activities outside the classroom because they also helped me practise my English in real-life situations.

The housing experience was wonderful as well. I stayed with a host family, and they were very kind and welcoming people. I felt comfortable living with them, and it was a great opportunity to experience everyday life in England and practise my English outside of school.

Overall, I had a very positive experience at Castle School of English. I really enjoyed the classes, teachers, location, activities, and housing, and I would definitely recommend the school to anyone who wants to improve their English and have a great experience in Brighton.

visa

Visa support

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

If you are studying in the UK for over 11 months, you will receive a reference number called a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) that you need to submit to the UK embassy along with your General Student Visa application. Students who have successfully booked a language course and have paid their fees will receive a CAS from Castle School. Please note that UK law states that a CAS can only be issued to students who intend to pursue English language studies for over 11 months.

If you are studying in the UK for 11 months or less, you have to apply for a special visitor visa called a Student Visitor Visa. As a student visitor, you will not be able to work part-time while studying. If you plan to study in the UK for 11 months or less, a letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you.

Ask a question

"Come vengono selezionate le famiglie ospitanti?"

Cecilia Pedersoli, student from
Maria, Castle School of English school representative (Sales & Marketing Officer)

We carefully select all of our host families through a thorough, in-house process to ensure a safe and welcoming experience for our students.

Families first complete an application, which is followed by a detailed screening by our team. We then carry out a home visit to make sure the accommodation meets our standards and provides a comfortable environment for students.

Once approved, we take great care in matching each student with a suitable host family based on their preferences and needs.

For students under 18, all host families are required to have a valid DBS (background) check, which we organise and verify ourselves as part of our safeguarding procedures.

This hands-on approach allows us to maintain high standards and ensure our students feel at home during their stay.
