The Sopot School of Polish for Foreigners is a private, independent language school established in 1990. The School is open throughout the year. With between 30 and 50 students we are large enough to be a varied and dynamic community, but small enough for every student to be given individual attention. We offer small classes, from beginner to advanced levels in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Our aim is to provide high-quality courses in Polish as a foreign language and to encourage interest in Polish language and culture. At Sopot School of Polish Language we believe it is our duty to provide the best Polish language courses we can and the best possible service to you, our client. Our School is officially registered by the Ministry of Education and regularly inspected. Discover Polish – International Institute of Polish Language and Intercultural Education in Sopot is a private school for foreigners established by experienced instructor of Polish as a foreign language with over 20 years of practice in Poland and United States (NYC). The school is opened throughout the year. We propose lessons at all levels. We organise individual tuition courses, as well as specialized, executive programmes upon request and classes in small groupes. The subject matter of the executive programme is designed especially for the individual interests of our clients (economy, insurance, banking, history, culture, business etc.). Lessons can be conducted at our location or at your office. People who want to break into the Polish market can be sure that thanks to our professional Polish language courses and teachers they will be able to communicate with polish people properly. They also have occasions to get know Poland, its history, culture and current economic situation. Our students will be independent and self-sufficient in everyday situations (shopping, restaurants, services etc.). They also would save time to provide their business activity. We would like to recommend intensive one -, two -, four - week – or more intensive Polish courses, as well as individual lessons and executive programme upon request. Apart from language tuition the courses also included an introduction to polish culture, history and current economics matters. During the regular courses we also offer an afternoon and weekend programme. Our students can visit museums, cinemas, theaters in Gdańsk, Sopot, Gdynia. On Saturdays we organise excursions throughout the Kashubian region, to Malbork’s castle or to Hel. The Institute is also inviting Polish artists, musicians, film directors for lectures and meetings with students. These kind of courses provide opportunity not only to learn Polish but also to spend a great time in Sopot – beautiful „summer” capital of Poland by Baltic Sea. Our methods take all facets of language learning: reading, writing, speaking and comprehension. The teaching materials that we use include excerpts from the most recent publications as well as our own handouts and we’re providing all of them. Our teaching programmes have been prepared according to the latest Polish language certificate standards established by Polish Ministry of Education. The atmosphere a tour school is warm and friendly, and we enjoy interacting with our students, both in the classroom and on the excursions. In the past, our clientele has included consultants and advisors of companies and institutions such as: The European Parliment, Deutsche Bank, Siemens, Saur Neptun Gdańsk S.A., The Feuerwehr – German Fire Services from Odra region, Knies Poland Sp. z o.o. and various foreign embassies – of United States or Germany. German students have a special opportunity at our school because we are Bildungsurlaub accredited.
