Wine, skiing, and world-famous beaches-- usually these three things can't be found in the same place. Well, you can have all three, and take great Spanish courses in Chile! Settled between the Pacific Ocean and the Andes mountains, Chile's climate and shape (2,800 miles long and only about 125 miles wide!) are amongst the most unique in the world. The country is home to the world's driest desert in the north and some rich forests and vegetation in its southern regions. Its largest city and capital, Santiago is the economic center of the country and is located about halfway down the country's long stretch of land. Chilean cuisine is unparalleled in its flavors and freshness, visitors will be surprised by the delightful empanadas, asados (grilled meats), and other mouthwatering dishes. Adventurers should head toward the Andes for hiking and skiing while those who want to relax can find great beaches up and down this tall and skinny country’s coastline.
