Find a spectacular experience in Birkirkara, or B’Kara, Malta. Malta, located in the heart of the Mediterranean, is made up of three islands: Malta, Comino, and Gozo, and our English school in B’Kara is located on Malta, the largest of the three islands. B’Kara, a city of 50,000, is in the center of Malta island and is the largest and most populated locations on the islands. You’ll be right at home among other students as those from the famous St. Aloysius’ College share the city with you. A city that is filled with history, B’Kara houses numerous old historic parishes like St. Helen and St. Joseph. You will definitely want to find a nice little escape to the seashore to enjoy wonderful weather and crystal clear water. Experience the sea from the inside as you scuba dive and try different water sports, like sailing and swimming. Make sure you go to see B’Kara’s Old Railway Station, which features a beautiful public garden. St. Helen’s basilica and the town aqueducts demonstrate the city’s rich history. Come to B’Kara in the summer to celebrate the feast of St. Helen, a joyful (and yummy!) island festival that takes place each August. The Birkikara Football Club (F.C.) are island champions, and going to one of their matches always makes for a fun time. For the student seeking an unforgettable island experience, taking English courses in B’Kara will make for an unbeatable good time.
