The General English program develops students’ English language communication skills with a focus on building confidence and fluency. Through a communicative approach, students practice listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in a variety of ‘real life’ situations whilst integrating grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
English for Academic Purposes is aimed at students who need English for use in higher education or university. Courses focus on performance in English at University level, study skills and fluency practise.
The General English course at AICOL is intended for students with a beginner, lower-intermediate and intermediate command of English. It consists of 20 hours of core face-to-face English lessons, and 3 hours of face-to-face self-access lessons per week.

This course is specially designed to help you improve your English whilst getting ready to take the IELTS exam. You will learn the vocabulary and language skills associated with the IELTS exam, as well as examination techniques specific to the IELTS exams.
