This nationally recognised language teaching qualification is for those who are or want to be a language educator in Aotearoa New Zealand or overseas. Candidates will be proficient users of the target language, which may be English or any other language.

It is offered as an Intensive course over 4 weeks or as a part-time course over 8 weeks (and 10 weeks as an Evening course) it is 120 hours long and includes 6 hours minimum of teaching practice using actual students.

International TESOL Program is designed for teachers who plan to teach English to speakers of other languages. TESOL represents the academic certification itself, as well as the international recognition that advocates for best practices of teachin English.

TESOL Certificate Program -Semi-Intensive - 24 hours per week - combines the ESL or TOEFL morning program (8:45 am to 1:05 pm) WITH the TESOL Certificate program in the afternoon (1:45 pm to 3:05 pm). -Program duration is four consecutive sessions (16 weeks) -The 110-hour TESOL certificate program is spread out over four sessions and consists of a combination of lectures, class observations, and in-person teaching practice.

The objectives of this course are to teach students the fundamentals of TESOL and to prepare students for the Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test. Students who take this course will be more confident in presenting and giving instructions; and will be given the opportunity to lead ESL activities and observe an ESL class.
