The General English Plus course is for students who want to maximize their language learning practice during their stay. The morning group classes stress the use of language in everyday situations.

IH Johannesburg specialises in teaching English as a foreign language to students from all over the world. Classes run from Monday to Friday and cover all levels from beginner to advanced.

This course includes 30 lessons per week (22.5 hours).

This course combines the standard English in the morning with afternoon electives from Monday to Thursday. A combination of Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing.

The General English Intensive course is designed for students who want to make fast, noticeable progress in a short period of time. With a higher number of lessons per week than a standard programme, this course provides a fully immersive English learning experience.

The GE Plus course is the General English course in the morning followed by 2 private lessons from 1.00-2.

The Intensive English course is for students who wish to consolidate their English language with the specific aim of fluency and functional language. The afternoon lessons are combined according to communicative fluency and not necessarily levels.

ELC, in collaboration with Kurus English, are proud to offer a unique experiential learning programme, which we call Language Excursions. Kurus English has been offering this experience for 12 years.

Our Intensive course guarantees the fastest progress and is not suitable for absolute beginners. With a strong skills-based focus, the afternoon programme from Monday through Thursday consists of relevant, student-centred content which is easy to relate to and engage with.

A Home Language International immersion course means you live the language you are learning and is the fastest, most natural way to learn. You are staying in your teacher’s home, have one-to-one language lessons and continue to use and practise your language skills sharing the daily life of your teacher’s family during meals, conversations, visits and activities as they all take place in the language you are studying.
