Studying General English, you will increase your vocabulary, enhance your grammar, improve your written work and strengthen your reading skills.

The Standard General English course takes place throughout the year and students may join this course on any Monday. The morning is divided into two parts and two teachers usually share the class.

Our General English courses are for people of all levels of English beginners to near-native speakers. No matter how much you already know, all of our General English Courses will teach you to speak English better and more fluently.

A broad General English course which is specifically designed to improve your overall language skills across the 4 key areas — reading, writing, listening, speaking — whilst leaving plenty of free time to enjoy your time outside of class. You’ll gain confidence through total immersion in English Structure: - 20 lessons (15 hours) per week, usually taking place every morning from Monday to Friday.

General English Plus combines our OHC General English Programme with clearly defined, additional work on key skills. With particular emphasis on Building Spoken Fluency, Improving Pronunciation, while Developing Conversational Skills and Strategies.

The Standard course offers students the perfect balance between language training and leisure time. A communicative approach developing fluency in speaking, listening, reading and writing ensures that the grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation components are applied to actual language use.

For adults of all ages who want to achieve fluency and accuracy in everyday English. Develop the four language skills – listening, speaking, reading and writing – by learning and practising language in real life situations, with a focus on listening and speaking.

While their children are at school, parents and other family members have the option of taking a course at Frances King too. During the summer, parents may join a 30+ English Programme.

Students’ development is assessed by teachers through regular 5-weekly mid- and end-of-course tests that also allow you to measure your own progress and development.
