Advanced English courses in Kerry

The Standard Course is available to adults (18 +), teenagers (13-17) and to small children (3-12) Each course is designed specifically to suit the required age group. All courses cover the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing with a specific emphasis on improving oral communication.

The Adult Intensive Course is designed for those students that wish to make a big improvement in their level of English over a short period of time. As with the Standard Course (GE1) all the four skills are covered with an emphasis on oral communication.

The English Plus Activities Course is designed for those students that wish to take part in a group class to improve their English but would also like to partake in the school’s interesting and varied activity programme. These programmes are adapted to suit two different age groups: This programme is not available for adults - teenagers - children (3-12)

This programme is designed for students who have more time at their disposal to learn English and who wish to become proficient in English by being immersed in the language and in the culture for a long period of time. On arrival, students are tested and a specific study programme is created for them taking into account their level of English, their aim for the term of the programme and the length of time they are here to study.

Private lessons are particularly useful to anyone who wishes to make maximum progress in their English in minimum time. Students begin by completing a Needs Analysis Questionnaire (adults only) which then forms the basis for course design.
