Group English courses in Colchester

Our 20 lesson main course is a general language improvement course, intended for students of all nationalities and levels who need to improve their language for work or study. The courses are at levels from A0 (beginner) to C1 (advanced).

Our Intensive Course coordinates 20 lessons on our Main Course programme with 250 additional minutes of lessons which run on 4 afternoons. These afternoon lessons build language to help students communicate at lower language levels and give lots of communication practice to higher level learners.

Since 1988, International Language Holidays (ILH) has provided dynamic, full-immersion English courses for young learners from around the world. With 7 centres across the UK, students benefit from 15 hours of lessons, 8 hours of supervised afternoon activities weekly,4 hours of supervised evening activities and regular progress tests.

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is an examination in academic English skills required by many universities and colleges and healthcare institutions. Additionally, applicants for Citizenship and certain types of visa are required to prove that their English is at a certain level and IELTS is a recognised way of doing this.
