Course description

Improve your English levels and academic skills required to thrive in your higher education journey. Study at one of our 12 Canadian College or University partners and get direct entry into your desired post-secondary programme without the need for an English level test.

University College Pathways Courses

University College Pathways (UCP) 300: 35 lessons per week (20 General English morning lessons + 15 UCP lessons in the afternoon)
University College Pathways (UCP) 400: 35 lessons per week (20 General English morning lessons + 15 UCP lessons in the afternoon)
University College Pathways (UCP) 500: 35 lessons per week (20 General English morning lessons + 15 UCP lessons in the afternoon)
Post Graduate Pathways (PGP) 600: 35 lessons per week (PGP lessons only)

During our UCP courses, you will participate in interactive classes that build your English skills through engaging discussions, hands-on activities, and immersive language exercises that develop the English language skills you need to succeed. In UCP 300, 400 and 500, you will study General English lessons in the morning and take Pathway-focused electives in the afternoon that prepare you for success during your post-secondary studies. Each UCP course is 10 weeks long and our team will help you identify which UCP course you need to take as well as how long you are required to study to meet the requirements of your desired College or University programme.

All of our host families have been trained and counselled on welcoming international students into their families. We monitor our homestay program to guarantee that all students have positive experiences and during the first week of school alone, we check in with students on three occasions to ensure that they are happy with their family.

Visa support

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged C$ 100 when you register.

Flights and airport transfer

Please note that we do not book flights for our students. If you are researching airfare costs, we recommend using Kayak.com, a search engine that lets you compare flight options from your home country to Halifax based on your budget, schedule and preferences.
