Students who want to make the most of their English learning experience choose to live in a homestay as you live in an English home and get to practice your skills outside the classroom. You also get the opportunity to learn more about the English culture, food and way of life.

In ISIS Brighton we have a dedicated homestay organiser who personally inspects every single home that we use. Each homestay is different, some are traditional families with 2 parents and children, others are single, retired or with grown up children. What each homestay has in common is that you will receive a warm welcome and be treated like another member of the home. All of our homestays are a maximum of 30 minutes away by public transport and many are within walking distance of the school.

You can have single or a twin room and you will have breakfast and your evening meal in the home. Your room will have a bed, space to store your clothes and a desk for you to study. Most homes also have internet access. Before you arrive we will give you details of the home and also a phone number and email address so that you can contact your hosts before you arrive.

Students who have successfully booked a language course and have paid their fees will receive a CAS from . Please note that UK law states that a CAS can only be issued to students who intend to pursue English language studies for over 11 months.

If you are studying in the UK for 11 months or less, you have to apply for a special visitor visa called a Student Visitor Visa. As a student visitor, you will not be able to work part-time while studying. If you plan to study in the UK for 11 months or less, a letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you.
