Course description

Mathematics Camp in Braunwald, offers students aged 10–15 the opportunity to strengthen their mathematical skills while enjoying an exciting holiday in the Swiss Alps. The programme includes 15 hours of mathematics lessons per week during the summer, helping participants review school topics, improve their problem-solving abilities and prepare for exams. Lessons take place in the mornings, while afternoons are dedicated to sports, outdoor activities, workshops and excursions, creating a balanced combination of learning and leisure.

Mathematics lessons are delivered in small groups of approximately eight students, allowing teachers to provide individual support and adapt explanations to each participant’s needs and level. The teaching approach is designed to make mathematics more accessible and enjoyable through interactive methods and educational games. Classes are conducted in English or German, depending on the group and registrations. Participants can also choose optional English, German or French lessons two or three afternoons per week, subject to availability.

The camp takes place at the Adrenalin Backpackers in Braunwald, a picturesque, car-free mountain village in Switzerland’s Glarus Alps, offering beautiful views and a welcoming environment for young learners. Accommodation is available in shared rooms with four to six beds, with shared or private bathrooms, as well as double rooms with private bathrooms. Full-board meals are included, together with afternoon activities, workshops, regional excursions and an evening programme featuring games, film nights, discos and social activities. Participants benefit from 24-hour supervision and receive a certificate of participation at the end of their stay.

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged Fr. 250 when you register.
