Course description

Attend General English classes.
ESL classes take place in modern classrooms located on the University of Toronto campus.

NUMBER OF LANGUAGE LEVELS: 4 Levels
NUMBER OF HOURS: 15 hours per week
NUMBER OF STUDENTS PER CLASS: 18 max
GENERAL ENGLISH CONTENT: This program provides classroom instruction in speaking, listening, reading and writing, with a focus on helping students of all proficiency levels to improve in their fluency and accuracy of speech. reign language learners to further their fluency and accuracy in English. With a focus on communication, lessons are designed for group oral activities as well as individual tasks in grammar, writing and reading.
LANGUAGE INSTRUCTORS: All ESL instructors have TESL/CELTA certification and/or a teaching degree (B.Ed). Language instructors use modern communicative and task-oriented methodologies including group activities and roleplaying for effective language development.
STUDY SCHEDULE: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat from 9:00 AM - 12:15 PM
CERTIFICATE: All students receive end-of-course certificates and student progress reports.

Live within the St. Hilda's College Residence.

ACCOMMODATIONS: Single room (limited doubles)
TOILETS: Shared, 1:10
SHOWERS: Shared, 1:10-12
LAUNDRY: Card-operated machines available ($4 CAD per load)
INTERNET: Wireless internet with password
STUDENT TO STAFF RATIO: 1:12
MEALS: 3 meals per day, Monday to Saturday; 2 meals per day, Sunday. Students take meals at Strachan Hall at the main Trinity College campus.*

ILSC - Toronto (Junior) does not hold classes on the holiday dates above. The school does not compensate for these holidays, so make sure to choose your start date accordingly.

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you.
