Course description

Our Malay Language Course is designed for international learners who want to develop practical communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia, the national language of Malaysia. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to strengthen your existing knowledge, our programme provides the tools you need to speak, read, and understand Malay with confidence.

The course focuses on:

Everyday Communication – Learn useful vocabulary and expressions for greetings, shopping, dining, travel, and social interactions.

Grammar & Structure – Understand the basics of Malay sentence construction, verb usage, and common patterns.

Listening & Speaking – Improve fluency through interactive conversations, role-plays, and real-life practice.

Cultural Insights – Explore Malaysian culture, traditions, and lifestyle to enrich your language learning journey.

Classes are conducted in a supportive environment by experienced instructors, ensuring that students gain both linguistic skills and cultural understanding. By the end of the course, learners will be able to engage in simple conversations and navigate daily life situations in Malaysia more comfortably.

PLC does not hold classes on the holiday dates above. The school does not compensate for these holidays, so make sure to choose your start date accordingly.

Class level

All levels, beginner to advanced
You will take a placement test on your first day to determine your class level. You may also take this test before your arrival in Kuala Lumpur.

Age range 17 - 45 years old
Average 22 years old
(19 in the summer)

Certificate

A certificate of completion will be issued at the end of the course.

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you.
