Course description
Liddes United Football Camp is designed for children and teenagers aged 10 to 15 who want to improve their language skills while enjoying an exciting football experience in the Swiss Alps. The programme combines 15 hours of language lessons per week with 9 hours of football training, offering the perfect balance between academic development, sports and teamwork. Participants take part in football training sessions, friendly matches, technical exercises and team challenges, developing their football skills while learning the importance of cooperation, communication and fair play. The camp is designed for football enthusiasts of all abilities who enjoy playing the sport in their free time, rather than for professional-level training.
Language classes are taught in small groups of approximately 6 students, allowing teachers to adapt lessons to individual needs and language levels. With courses suitable for levels ranging from beginner to proficient. Through interactive activities, games, role-playing, theatre and audiovisual materials, students develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in an engaging learning environment. The football training sessions are conducted in English, providing additional opportunities to practise communication skills in a sporting context. With experienced, multilingual coaches and motivated teachers, students can build confidence, improve their language abilities and develop their sporting skills in a supportive international environment.
The camp takes place in the picturesque mountain village of Liddes, in the St. Bernard region of the Swiss Alps, in the canton of Valais. Participants stay in welcoming mountain chalets with full-board accommodation, including three meals a day and snacks, and benefit from convenient access to the local football pitch, located just a short walk from the chalet. The programme includes afternoon football training on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, recreational activities, excursions, evening entertainment and 24-hour supervision. Participants can enjoy football quizzes, fun challenges, sports movie nights and a Friday evening disco, while meeting young people from different backgrounds and creating lasting friendships. Combining language learning, football and the unique Alpine setting, the Liddes United Football Camp offers an enriching and memorable summer holiday in Switzerland.
