Course description

The St. Bernard Alps Winter Camp is designed for children and teenagers who want to improve their language skills while enjoying an exciting winter experience in the Swiss Alps. The programme combines 12 hours of language lessons per week with a variety of outdoor adventures and recreational activities, offering the perfect balance between learning and exploring the Alpine environment. Participants can enjoy activities such as snowshoeing, sledding, winter hiking, exploring mountain landscapes and playing outdoor games, while discovering the beauty of Swiss Alpine culture.

Language classes are taught in small groups of approximately 6 students, allowing teachers to adapt lessons to individual needs and language levels. Through interactive activities, games, role-playing, theatre, projects and audiovisual materials, students develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in an engaging learning environment. The programme welcomes students from beginner to proficient levels, creating opportunities to practise languages naturally throughout the day.

The winter camp takes place in the picturesque St. Bernard region of the Swiss Alps, with accommodation in welcoming mountain chalets and easy access to the surrounding Alpine landscapes. The programme includes full-board accommodation, two weekly excursions, recreational activities, evening entertainment and 24-hour supervision. With opportunities to explore the region, participate in group activities and meet young people from different backgrounds, students can develop their language abilities, gain confidence and create lasting friendships while enjoying an unforgettable winter holiday in Switzerland.

During the winter season, students can choose from several programmes, including Ski & Snowboard, Alps Winter Camp, Mathematics Camp and Ski & Snowboard without a language course. Whether improving their skiing and snowboarding skills, developing their academic abilities or simply enjoying an action-packed winter experience, students benefit from a safe, friendly and international environment.

Based at the comfortable Relais de Dranse chalet in Liddes-St. Bernard, the camp offers full-board accommodation, sports and recreational facilities, excursions, workshops and evening activities. Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you.
