"The teachers didn't seem to tailor lessons plans personally."

Justine Tupe, student from Canada

I was first matched with a teacher that I didn't like because they would spend about a quarter of the class chatting to me in English... So nothing to do with teaching me Spanish.

I was happy when I complained and they matched me with a new teacher. She also chatted with me, but at a normal level during the class. And she tried much harder to chat to me in Spanish which at least helped my comprehension of Spanish.

However, I didn't understand the organization of her classes at all. She would show me a lesson of the future simple in the first person (yo) and then when it came to practice, she would ask me to conjugate with tu. That happened frequently. I would ask to practice the past tense, and she would ask me a question in the past tense for a verb she didn't teach me. So I found the lessons frustrating because the teacher wasn't keeping track of what they did and didn't teach me, and when I wanted to practice what we learned, they would bring up content that we never reviewed. When they asked me to do something I didn't know, I would ask for them to teach me the new content, but since they were not prepared, they would search online and show me how to do it with YouTube or ChatGPT. But it wasted time for them searching and I felt like I was paying for an expensive private lesson just for someone to google something on chatgpt and show me their screen. I wouldn't really recommend this service to anyone. The teachers don't seem to have a lesson plan and they don't seem to understand teaching in a way that builds off of previous knowledge.

"The best spanish school in Valparaiso!"

Paul Christiansen

I studied for about 2 months at English Group School located in Valparaiso and I absolutely loved it! They are a serious language school and their teaching staff are all chilean spanish native speakers, so I progressed very rapidly. I'd definetly recommend them to everyone who wants to visit Vina and learn spanish fast and have a fun at the same time!
