Carson is a city located 13 miles south of downtown Los Angeles in the state of California. It was incorporated in February of 1968. It is within easy driving distance to many beaches, theme parks, museums and more. Visit nearby Redondo or Hermosa Beach to play some beach volleyball. Visitors might like to bike or roller skate along The Strand, a paved trail that leads from Redondo Beach, through Hermosa all the way up to Santa Monica.
