The city of Azusa is located in Los Angeles County in the state of California. Azusa was founded in1887. Located at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains, this city is in a great location for exploring much of the Southern California area. Students enrolled in English school in Azusa will find that they can head to either the beach, or the mountains with a fairly easy drive. Visitors can head into Los Angeles and visit museums or catch a Broadway show. There are a number of theme parks within driving distance, including Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, Six Flags Magic Mountain and Universal Studios. Visitors to Azusa in the summer might enjoy a trip to nearby San Dimas to enjoy Raging Waters theme park. California’s largest water park a wave pool, numerous slides, picnic areas and more. Throughout Azusa, visitors will find bike paths and hiking trails to enjoy. Be sure to check out the trails around Cogswell Dam which are very popular with mountain bikers. While in Azusa, consider checking out some of the local sporting events. The Lakers and Clippers basketball teams both play in nearby Los Angeles.
