Halifax Language Institute of Canada (HLIC) is one of the best-known language schools in Nova Scotia, Canada! HLIC is located in Halifax, on the east coast of Canada, and the capital of the province of Nova Scotia. Our campus is on Spring Garden Road, one of the most-traveled areas as well as a major commercial and cultural district in Halifax. HLIC provides students with superb customer service and unique communication programs that will improve their English language proficiency, confidence, fluency, and accuracy. HLIC strives to provide all of our students with the skills necessary to succeed in a personal, academic and/or professional capacity. HLIC offers English programs for all levels, such as General English (Level 1-6), General Business English, English for Academic Purposes (EAP), English for Specific Purposes (ESP), University Bridging Program (UBP pathways for college and university), and Test Preparation Programs (TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC). HLIC has partnership agreements with several Canadian post-secondary and provides university and college placement of HLIC graduates. HLIC’s teaching methodology is student-centered and also employs a task-based learning approach, which leads to numerous city outings and filed trips around the area. HLIC also has a customized homestay program to meet the needs of various student backgrounds and wants.
