"Very educational and a dynamic way of teaching."

Volkert Van Der Gun, student from Netherlands

The classes were really interactive, what I liked about it. We were discussing themes which the student would interest, for instance nightclubbing, food and restaurants, politics, sports and so on. It was challenging as well, because we sometimes had to give presentations fully in German or write letters in German, which was in the meantime exciting too. I like the dynamic way of how we got educated, by changing teachers every week, with every teacher having his own style and own way of transmitting the language.

Ask a question

"Does the student need a visa for this course?"

No visa needed, as the language stay will only be for four weeks (= less than 3 months)

"How for will it be from the center of the city? and from the school?"

Mariia Klimontova, student from Russia

Since we’re working with private hosts, there is no definite answer to that. The hosts live in a 7 kilometer radius around the school. It’s possible to reach our school within 30 minutes by either bike, bus or on foot. Also, our school is basically in the city centre (close to the central main station), so it’s only a 1-minute walk before the shopping streets begin.

"She would like the more expensive version of the apartment by herself without the roommates. If I've understood correctly, that type of apartment is also 7 km away?"

Mariia Klimontova, student from Russia

Yes, the apartments are also up to 7 km away from the school (can be closer).

"Both the father (above 16) and the son (14) want to study at your school. If you cannot accept the 14 year old into the group class, can you organize private lessons for him as an alternative?"

MARTIN OLYVE, student from Australia

Because of legal reasons we can not accept students below 16 years at the ESL school in Freiburg. Therefore, it is not possible to propose private lessons either.
