Granada is a medium sized city located in Andalucia in Southern Spain. Granada is rich in history, with a multicultural background that has seen rule by Greeks, Romans, Moors, the Nasrid dynasty, and later Christian conquerors, the city is full of blended, beautiful architecture and culture. In addition, it is the third largest university city in Spain, so studying Spanish courses in Granada means that you will have plenty of other students to share your experiences with. Granada has a very student-oriented nightlife filled with dancing (the Flamenco is a way of life here), theater, music, and clubs. Visitors to Granada shouldn't miss the Alhambra, an intricate palace and fortress complex that was constructed in the mid-fourteenth century. Just outside of the city sits the Sierra Nevada mountain range, which is perfect for students interested in hiking, mountain biking, skiing, or just enjoying the scenic views, or take a trip to nearby Cordoba with its ancient small streets, alleys, and squares.
