Pamplona is located in the northeast of Spain, and is the capital of the Navarra region. Pamplona is most famous for its San Fermin festival, although the rest of the world knows it as the "Running of the Bulls". Held each year from July 6th to July 14th, Sanfermines features a daily bullrun or "Encierro". But don't be mistaken, Pamplona is a city far more interesting than just a week long festival; it has ancient Roman mosaics, the Pamplona Cathedral, the lovely Plaza del Castillo, great wine tours, and many parks and green areas. Pamplona is also one of the most environmentally responsible cities in Spain!
