The standard Spanish course is taken by 90% of IH Barcelona's adult students. It consists of 20 hours tuition per week and the school offers ten levels of study which range from beginner to very advanced. Students with some knowledge of Spanish can start any Monday throughout the year. Courses for complete beginners start on alternate Mondays.
Designed for students who want to study more then 20 hours week, the Intensive Spanish Course combine an Intensive classroom learning course with extra conversation classes in the afternoons. The afternoon sessions are designed to give students the opportunity to develop their speaking and comprehension skills by talking about various aspects of Spanish culture and history. Some afternoon sessions may take place outside the school.
The DELE exam is the official test in Spanish as a foreign langugage and stands for Spanish Diploma as a Foreign Language. The Instituto Cervantes manages the DELE Spanish language exams and it is internationally recognized as the official Spanish language exam for non-native speaking Spanish language speakers. There are three different options available at the DELE Spanish language exam: basic, intermediate, and advanced. International House Barcelona will prepare students for the DELE Test Prep course with tips, tricks, and practice exams.
