ELS/Washington, DC is located in one of the most attractive and safest residential neighborhoods in the Washington, DC area. The center is in the heart of the nation’s capital, only minutes from the American University campus where students have access to campus facilities and a quick Metro ride from numerous museums, memorials, and government buildings. Served by a public bus system (Metrobus) and a public subway system (Metrorail), students will find it easy to explore fabulous restaurants, great shopping, galleries, historic neighborhoods, parks, theaters, and sporting events. Many of the sights of the city are free. Washington, DC is home to numerous universities and colleges, both public and private.
