ELS/Santa Barbara is located in downtown Santa Barbara, a friendly town on the scenic Southern California coast with a Mediterranean ambiance and lively college-town spirit. Known as the “American Riviera”, Santa Barbara is famous for its idyllic climate, Spanish-inspired architecture and breathtaking mix of mountains, valleys and beaches. Santa Barbara is one of the safest and most affluent cities in California and offers excellent public transportation. On weekends, students can experience the excitement and entertainment of nearby Los Angeles.
