School description

The ECELA experience is designed to be a total immersion experience, not only in the classroom but also during our activities and in our family home-stays. In our classes, we teach our students using the communicative method and by using our ECELA designed class material. Why do we do this? Because each student learns Spanish more quickly than by learning with traditional teaching methods. Plus, given the small class sizes and students from all over the world, the classes are quite dynamic with varied conversational topics. Students not only learn about the local culture but about the cultures of their fellow students. Our schools are located in the most attractive and safest neighborhoods. We choose ideal locations for Spanish immersion programs; close by are many restaurants, bars, cafes, attractive parks, museums, movie theaters and shops. All neighborhoods are upper-middle class neighborhood and safe at all hours. We also want to ensure that students will have an experience of a lifetime. To help gain new perspectives of Latin America and to best understand the local culture, we take on the responsibility of coordinating optional social and cultural events. Such as, cooking clases, wine tasting, tango, salsa and conversation clubs.
