Sharing twin rooms in Manhattan, students on this programme will combine high-quality English lessons at a trendy fashion college with a varied timetable of activities that takes in all the highlights of the Big Apple.<br><br>
Students will be staying at 1760 3rd Avenue Residence. This is a 18-storey high-rise, newly renovated residence located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The residence is set just minutes away from the amazing Museum Mile, Central Park, Carl Shultz Park, and two blocks from the 96th St / Lexington
Avenue subway station. Students staying in this area can savour the extraordinary affordable restaurants, retail stores, markets and cultural happenings all around.<br><BR>
What's Included:<br>
• English course: 20 morning / afternoon lessons (45 mins each) per week for a total of 15 hours. The course will help improve English language skills by focusing on the key areas: reading, writing, speaking and listening. A strong focus is placed on speech and using the language confidently and fluently.<br>
• Accommodation on full board<br>
• Supervised activity programme:<br>
> 5 half day activities and 3 evening activities per week<br>
> 1 full day activity for students staying minimum 2 weeks<br><br>
Room Type:<br>
• Twin rooms - students are placed in a twin room with another student of the same gender.<br><br>

• Desk/table where students can do their homework<br>
• TV<br>
• High-speed internet service in rooms for students who get their laptops.<br>
• Internet is free but students need to connect via Ethernet cable in their room.<br><br>

• Common areas are cleaned by 1760 3rd Avenue staff, however, students are responsible for cleaning their own bedrooms and bathrooms.<br>
• Coin operated laundry facilities available. Approx $2 per wash and $2 per dry cycle.
Supervision<br>
EC employs a member of staff to supervise the residence throughout the night. This staff member is responsible for ensuring that all students return to their rooms prior to their curfew and that discipline is maintained.<br><br>
Meals<br>
Students are given meal vouchers which they can use throughout a selection of restaurants. A sample menu consists of:<br>
• Breakfast - muffin and juice<br>
• Lunch - sandwich, crisps and drink<br>
• Dinner - pasta, salad and dessert<br><br>
If students have specific diet requirements EC must be informed of this prior to their arrival.<br><br>
Students can arrive on Saturday or Sunday and depart on Saturday.
