"It has been a really friendly, productive, interesting and beautiful experience."

Jonás Pacheco, student from Spain

The best things of the course were: My teacher was really kind and I have practiced my english a lot. My family was perfect. They spoke with me and they were very nice people. They cooked really well also. The School was situated in Edinburgh center. It was perfect to enjoy the city after lessons. The worst thing for me personally was that my house was really far off the center of the city. I had only one bus to get there and I didn´t have night buses. In summary, I enjoyed very much my fifteen days there.

"a lot of fun"

francesca, student from Italy

I booked the transport from my host family's house to the airport, the school told me that the taxi would have arrived about 11 a.m., but it didn't. My host father gave me a lift to the airport, but i'm really disappointed!! Can you tell me why it's happened?? I'm sorry for my English. I hope I've been clear enough.

"I was sad when I had to leave!"

Dr. Cordula Barthe, student from Germany

I am very happy with my experience in the EAC language school at Edinburgh. I think it was a good idea to have two different teachers in the morning with stress on different subjects. The teachers were very well prepared and treated us individually. The mixture of students of different countries was interesting. For me, in most weeks the eldest , it was a good change to my normal working life as a medical doctor, to be a student again. I did not only improve my English, but learnt a lot about British and Scottish every day life, social, cultural and political issues and literature. And furthermore about the habits and questions and style of life of young people from other countries. And my age was not of disadvantage. The young people accepted me as I accepted them and learned from them. In the afternoon, I had private lesson by a very intelligent young man called Mike who exactly recognized the problems I wanted to solve. I intended to do the American language test (Toefl) after my one month training and he helped me with all the special things I had to learn for it. In the end I got a report and this gave a reliable state of my abilities. So, after my return in Germany I performed the test and was very successful with 95%. Thank you very much for this good experience. After all, I decided to go to France next year and go to language school to improve my French abilities.

"normal"

maria isabel taravilla herrera, student from Spain

The group of students is really good, but the classes are not so good cause two important things: - first of all, that we are a lot in the class, we expected have classes in small groups, and people from the school said this. And we paid a lot for it!! but then, during the weeks, a lot of people coming and we had a group of 14!! imposivel practice something in the bog group or could have some kind of instruction from the teacher. - and second, the way to teach of some teachers... not good to learn. We took our books and read, read... the first day, the school said that we will have grammar class (first part) and practice... but, the practice allways continue with the grammar. No practice talk and conversation. so, in general, my opinion is tha its a school that promise a lot, but doesnt do anything. I talked with the employees of the school and said that only grammar is not the way, we need motivate to talk and to ""think"" in english. They said ""oh! thats is good, but is your way..."". So, and school that think it,.. is not so goog for my opinion of learn a new language. I think is they way, and its possible...
