Siena is a city located in Tuscany, and is the capital of the Siena Province. It is a medieval town that is most well-known for a horse race called “Il Palio” that is run twice a year in the summer. The horse race is an age old tradition that allows each neighborhood to show its great pride--and to show its superiority to its other local neighborhoods.
