Castiglioncello is located in the province of Livorno in Tuscany, Italy. Evidence shows that there inhabitants in the area from the Etruscan and Roman times. Because of the way it is situated on a promontory into the Tyrrhenian Sea, at times it seems as though it sits on an island.
