Constance is a city in Germany located on the German-Swiss border. The city is very old, and survived the wars in tact. when many other German cities did not, due to its close proximity to Switzerland. The architecture in Constance, or Konstanz, as the Germans refer to it, is very quaint and some portions of the city are over 700 years old. Students interested in studying German courses in Constance will enjoy spending their time outside of class practicing their German skills at nearby old markets, restaurants, and cafes. For the nature lover, beautiful Lake Constance and The Black Forest are just outside the city and Lake Constance is the third largest lake in Central Europe. In the summer months, students attending a German school in Constance will find lovely outdoor seating at many of their restaurants, and trips to the nearby countryside are a great getaway any time of year. With Switzerland and Austria also bordering Lake Constance, a bit of country hopping might be a fun adventure as well.
