Troissy is located in the idyllic Champagne district - the only place in the world that may use the term champagne about its bubbly and delicate produce. Students at a French school in Troissy will find themselves in a minor town situated right between Paris and Reims and on the river Marne. The river is mostly known for the Battle of Marne during the Great War. It became one of the early turning points in the war, where the Germans advancements were halted. Today, the Champagne district is known for its quiet and picturesque villages in a beautiful rural landscape and of course its renowned maisons (champagne houses), making it an ideal setting for students wishing to take French courses in Tours.
