Monaco is a small sovereign city-state found in south western Europe. It rests on the northern central coast of the Mediterranean Sea. It is the name of the country and its capital, and its government is a constitutional monarchy. Students enrolled in French school in Monaco will find that the country and city got its name from a nearby Greek colony dating back to the 6th century. Visitors to the area will enjoy the warm, Mediterranean climate with its warm, dry summers and its mild, rainy winters.
