The town of Windsor is an affluent suburb in the Royal Borough of Windsor. It is best known for its famous Windsor Castle. It is the oldest occupied castle in the world and is considered the official residence of Her Majesty the Queen. It sits on approximately 13 acres of land and offers a variety of tours. Various events are also held on the grounds throughout the year. Visitors can see the changing of the guard during summer months. Because it is a residence, visiting opportunities are sometimes changed at the last minute, so be sure to check when planning your visit. Another fun excursion is a trip to Legoland Windsor. It has over 55 interactive rides and attractions, with much to see and do. Shopping in Windsor is an experience in and of itself.
