The city of Norwich is located in the county of Norfolk, England. Many consider Norwich to be the most complete medieval city in Britain. The cathedral is the dominant landmark in the city. Students enrolled in English school in Norwich will enjoy visiting the cathedral and observing the beautiful Romanesque architecture. Also take time to visit the Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery to see a variety of exhibits offering great insight into Norwich and the entire county. Surprisingly, Norwich has over 30 medieval churches within its boundaries. Many are now used for other purposes. Be sure to explore the beautiful parks and gardens throughout the city as well. Norwich is home to over 150 green spaces and parks. The Plantation Garden is one of the more breathtaking gardens, located in the city center. The city is particularly friendly to cyclists, with many areas dedicated specifically for their use. Students taking English courses in Norwich may be able to participate in one of the many festivals hosted in the city throughout the year.
