Moscow is at the center of Russian politics, history, culture, and modern business and has over 10 million people living there. It is also the most populated city in all of Russia. Students interested in taking Russian courses in Moscow will be able to visit many of the historical and architectural wonders such as Red Square, the Kremlin, the nine domes of St. Basil's Cathedral, Lenin's Mausoleum, the KGB Museum and other symbols of Moscow's past. Students can also take the time to shop Boulevard Ring or practice their new Russian language skills in Pushkin Square. Students attending Russian school in Moscow will find that Moscow is a very ornate city, and sometimes can be a bit expensive as well, which is something to consider when planning a stay in Moscow or a weekend out. Moscow has a rich and storied history – it was the capital of the former Soviet Union, Russian Empire, the Tsardom of Russia, and the Grand Duchy of Moscow. Nowadays, it is certainly a modern city, and is home to many scientific and educational institutions and sport facilities; it has one of the most complex transport systems in the world that includes four international airports, nine railroad terminals, and the world's second busiest metro system – famous for its architecture and artwork.
