The city of De Pere is located in Brown County in the state of Wisconsin. Built around the banks on both sides of the Fox River, the city was originally two separate cities, but merged into one in 1890. It hosts a number of events throughout the year that help fuel that strong feeling of community. Be sure to visit the local Farmers Market from July through October. It is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays and offers a unique array of products for sale. Celebrate De Pare is a festival held each Memorial Day weekend and includes an outdoor music and food festival. The Fox River provides various recreation opportunities for visitors, including water-skiing, fishing and boating. It also is used for ice fishing in the cold winter months.
