Located in the Northern Territory of Australia, Darwin has had a past riddled with destruction and construction since the 1940's. During World War II, the entire city was bombed by warplanes and left in ruins. A few decades later, it was again devastated by Cyclone Tracy which decimated almost three-quarters of the city. Despite this, the Darwin of today is alive and thriving.
